All Things Teaching Series
Challenge:
I had to distill the entire verse of Romans 11:36 into a single, high-impact graphic that would serve as the visual anchor for a new series. The design needed to remain distinguishable from the color palettes of previous series while maintaining a design system that remained legible across different environments from large-scale room displays and live-streamed video to small-screen social media and print.
Solution:
I created a unified piece of art by using overlapping words from Romans 11:36 in the shape of interweaving script and sans-serif letterforms. I avoided recent color schemes by selecting a deep teal base with warm, high-contrast accents, to keep it fresh and distinct. To ensure a cohesive system, I created a series guide that carried specific elements such as the custom stroke and secondary color options across all types of media. This allowed for recognition and seamless transitions between high-resolution screens, social media posts, and physical print materials.
Implementation:
I emphasized the main, short title “All Things” with a light complementary color, but still tied to the rest of the words visually through interweaving. This allowed most words in the verse of Romans 11:36 to remain in the same space without overwhelming the viewer.
I carried over the stroke elements into other forms of media, such as social posts and video recording elements.
I created variety in our social media posts using multiple versions of the stroke shapes and supporting colors.
